diamond-drilling program on the La Fortuna project. Seven holes drilled on the T11
zone intersected high-grade gold mineralization within broad zones of shallow,
moderate grade gold mineralization.
Golden Peaks' goal in 2006 for the La Fortuna Project is to define a substantial
gold resource by completing a preliminary diamond drill evaluation of all gold zones
identified on the property. The significant gold mineralization discovered at the
T11 zone indicates the potential of all other zones to host gold mineralization of
equivalent significance.
To date 68 drill holes have been completed for a total of 6810 meters. The Company
plans to add a second drill as a result of the strong drill results to date. The
Company is also moving quickly to secure year round, all weather access to the
project and plans to continue the diamond-drilling program through 2006.
On the Nik gold project in the province of La Rioja, the Company has signed a Joint
Venture with Minera Hochschild S.A.. The Nik project contains epithermal precious
metal mineralization as well as evidence of porphyry mineralization. An exploration
program is on-going. The highly prospective Nik gold project contains abundant
evidence of gold mineralization and compliments Golden Peaks' portfolio of
properties.With $15 million dollars in working capital Golden Peaks Resources is set
to capitalize on this exciting gold market.
